BCG Paris: complete presentation

Created in 1973, the Boston Consulting Group's Paris office is also one of the largest in the network. He plays a key role in the development of BCG in Europe and North Africa, in direct connection with the Casablanca office.

If the group is organized around 90 offices located in the four corners of the world, each office operates independently and has a managing director. The Paris office is undoubtedly the most selective in the world, while being the second largest in size after Boston, with 2,500 employees claimed. It is also at the heart of BCG's latest major innovations with the development, for example, of its Digital Marketing and Data activity.

Diversity of profiles within teams

The BCG Paris office is known for its ability to attract the best talent from around the world, in particular from the best business schools (more than half of the Paris office's workforce comes from HEC, ESSEC, ESCP), engineers (around 40% of the workforce is a graduate of X, Centrale-Supelec, Mines, Ponts, Télécom) and Sciences Po (around 5% of the workforce). The Paris office has varied and specialized skills, allowing it to also address issues that are broader than traditional strategy.

This diversification has also been illustrated by the creation of numerous brands:

• BCG Gamma, created in 2016, with more than 50 data scientists in Paris, which specializes in the detailed analysis of large amounts of data

In particular, working at BCG in Paris will give you the opportunity to collaborate with internationally renowned sectoral and functional experts:

• financial institutions (banks, insurance companies) such as Gwenhaël Le Boulay
• Private Equity (where you will do due diligence on the sale or purchase side) with the global leader in the practice in particular, Benjamin Entraygues

Recruiting process

The recruitment process at BCG Paris is particularly demanding and requires extensive preparation. It is divided into three rounds of two interviews and tests candidates on three types of exercises: the classic case study interview, the online case study (or Chatbot case) and the written case study (except for interns who will not have a written case study). The online test is usually done in the first round and the case study written in the 2nd. The process seems to have evolved in 2022 and removed the written case study.
