LEK is a global strategy consulting firm created in 1983 by three former Partners of Bain & Company : James Lawrence, Iain Evans and Richard Koch. With over 1,400 consultants worldwide, LEK is present in 24 countries. The Paris office was created in 1988 and currently has 70 consultants (2023).

In 2021, globally, LEK's turnover was distributed at 40% for due diligence, 30% for strategies and 30% for other types of missions. At the Paris office, the distribution is 50% for due diligence, 30% for strategies and 20% for other types of missions.
To join LEK, you can apply online on their career space. LEK recruits all year round for all seniors. However, it is advisable to apply early to increase your chances of being selected. We recommend that you apply 4 to 6 months prior to your desired entry date.

LEK generally aims for Bac+5 degrees from a major business or engineering school. The main qualities sought for each level of seniority are the following:
At LEK, there is a significant amount of “room work”, that is, working in the office without going to the customer's house. In addition, LEK regularly organizes social, sports, cultural and travel events to create a good working environment. This is a little less the case in other firms with a financial DNA such as Bain, Roland Berger or Kearney.
For example, LEK organizes summer evenings, end of year evenings, informal lunches, networking events with other professionals in the sector. For sporting events, LEK organizes soccer tournaments, marathons, hikes or yoga sessions. For cultural events, LEK organizes museum visits, theater shows and concerts. Finally, for trips, LEK regularly organizes weekends in the mountains, at the beach or abroad.
As far as LEK's Paris office is concerned, their teleworking policy is quite flexible according to the feedback from our alumni. Employees have the option of working remotely on certain days of the week or leaving their laptops in the office to work from home. In terms of leave, LEK offers a standard paid leave policy, with additional days offered to employees based on seniority and seniority.

LEK generated $790 million in sales in 2021. LEK's top three offices in terms of revenue are New York, London and Boston. LEK's Paris office generated a turnover of 50 million euros in 2021 and is mainly focused on due diligence and strategy missions.

Consultants interested in a change of office should discuss this with their HR contact and immediate manager. The request should include a detailed explanation of why the consultant wants to change offices, as well as a description of the consultant's experience and skills. LEK reviews all office change requests on a case-by-case basis and takes into account various factors such as market demand, office needs, and consultant skills. Consultants may be invited to participate in additional interviews to discuss their application and career goals. Ultimately, the decision to change offices is made by LEK based on the needs of the business and the interests of the consultant.
