We polled 1,072 graduates from the following schools: HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, ESCP, EM Lyon, EM Lyon, EM Lyon, EDHEC, X, Centrale-Supelec, Télécom Paris, Ponts, Mines, Sciences Po. We asked them to identify which of the more than 30 strategy consulting firms they would like to work with first and foremost. Discover our top 10 of the most attractive strategy consulting firms in 2024.

The best strategy consulting firms in 2024

  1. McKinsey (1,103 points): An undisputed leader, McKinsey is distinguished by its ability to tackle complex challenges and to propose innovation and sustainability strategies, affirming its dominance in a changing environment.

  2. BCG (1,009 points): BCG is taking advantage of its move and its change of management to strengthen its digital and sustainable development offer, remaining a preferred choice thanks to its expertise in renewable energies.

  3. Bain & Company (953 points): Recognized for its corporate culture and expertise in Private Equity, Bain attracts talent with its commitment to diversity and inclusion, affirming its position among leaders.

  4. Oliver Wyman (865 points): With a specialization in the health and energy sectors, Oliver Wyman is positioned as a key player for companies undergoing digital transformation.

  5. Roland Berger (843 points): An expert in automotive and manufacturing, Roland Berger remains attractive, in particular thanks to his commitment to consulting for the energy transition.
  6. Strategy& (828 points): Strategy& is distinguished by its diversified expertise and its integration of sustainability into its advice, meeting the expectations of companies looking for responsible practices.

  7. EY-Parthenon (759 points): Specializing in education and health, EY-Parthenon uses the reputation of the Big 4 to attract ambitious talent interested in projects of international scope.

  8. Kearney (679 points): Focused on innovation and digital transformation, Kearney focuses on distribution and other key sectors to remain competitive.

  9. KPMG GSG (572 points): Thanks to its expertise in the financial sector and its commitment to digital transformation, KPMG GSG is rising in the ranking, benefiting from the reputation of the Big 4.

  10. Deloitte monitor (368 points): Specializing in technology and health, Monitor Deloitte continues to offer innovative solutions for the strategic transformation of businesses.
    Its reputation and reputation have made it possible to make a difference with other firms mentioned, such as LEK, OC&C, Kea & Partners or Arthur D. Little.

LEK Consulting slips to 11th place (547 points, 9th in 2023) : despite its popularity in niche sectors, slipped to 11th place. This change highlights the growing competitiveness of the strategy consulting market and the importance of continuously innovating to meet evolving client expectations.


NB: Our pollsters told respondents that this was a question of ranking strategy consulting firms and not management consulting firms, in order to avoid confusion that could distort the results. The strategy consulting firms that appear in the ranking were selected by the StratMachina editorial staff, in particular on the basis of feedback from our coached candidates. Other criteria such as the actual consulting activity with C-levels, their dynamics, their size in France and their seniority could be retained.
